Okay i've finally found something that I am better than my husband at! We went rockclimbing yesterday and had a blast! Each tower we climbed I did faster and it felt good. He was really proud of me. I was leary at first because I've always had the "I can't do it" mentality. Well as many of you know after you hire Tony you realize that anything is possible and if you don't succeed at least you gave it a try. So I did it and I succeeded! Very well I may add ;) It was a great workout too. I thought I would be sore today but so far so good.
I put off my bi/tri workout and will do it today. I am so proud of myself because since Jan 1st '07 I have not missed 1 workout! I did go on a week cruise on April 28th and Tony told me to just get in 45 min cardios before the evening dinner which I did so that doesn't count. After the comp Tony told me to take a week off and I told him I can't I need something so he gave me something. I know crazy but I get bored.
I'm so thankful for you guys really. You keep me going!!!

A big round of applause & big hugs to you April-a full year of complete workouts! Not an easy feat!!
Awesome on not missing a workout!! I haven't either, unless you count moving Saturdays workout to Sunday, it happens sometimes!! I too need a workout to feel sane, on Sundays, I feel like I am going crazy with just cardio! Awesome on the rock climbing, that sounds like so much fun! April, our next American Gladiator!
:) Tina
I HATE bi's. Never used to but I feel weak in them now. Glad you are so into it, I love reading your blogs.
You keep me going girl! You have so much energy, I love that about you.
I love rock climbing, could do it everyday! When in college I worked at the Y and helped kids learn how to climb the wall. I spent all my free time on it. It is a great wo too.
Rock Climbing is fun!!! I have only done it once, but it was a blast. It was one of the most memorable "first dates" I ever had....back in my single days!
=)
LOL - BM (Before Megan) I was an AVID rockclimber - 3-4 days a week, even competed on occasion, and it has always been the only thing I've ever been better at than my husband - who actually climbed too before we met. Women have the lower body strength and the balance. It's awesome, and it's something I can't wait to get back to it. Maybe this summer.
Not one workout missed!! Damn, you are a machine!! Great job on that rockclimbing too ;) Now hubby needs to do something for you to celebrate his butt-kickin'
Great job on that! Sounds like a blast :o)
That really is kickass about not missing WO's AND trying new things. I'm scared of heights but going to try rock climbing with a friend soon, you just talked me into it.
Great job on the no missed workouts! I'm on my way there too! I haven't yet and do not plan on missing one.
How fun for you to be better at something than Hubby! Rock climbing does sound like fun. My prob, like Trojan, is being afraid of heights. I'd probably make my way up and be too afraid to get back down!
Wh have a gym here that has ladies nights on Mondays. The fun part is learning on how to go across and up. As for down...It has all of there great mats. So all you have to do is let go. it does not hurt to fall and you bounce.
I would love to rock climb and know I could make it to the top but once there, I would panic. I HATE heights. I would freak and then they would have to call someone to get me down! Not so fun! :)
