PWO Meal




What does everyone consume post workout? I usually have my Met-rx shake or just a whey shake. I LOVE Met-rx!!! However, until I have a good income again I just can't justify it. Not to mention I don't know what half of that crap is i'm putting into my body. It does taste good though HA!

Well, since trying to become somewhat (loosely) Zone, I'll have some applesauce, a couple of eggs (whole) and either a spoon of almond butter or some almonds. If I have had an utterly killer workout I'll allow myself a bit (1/4-1/2 C) of cereal or a piece of Ezekiel bread to up the carbs a bit. Sometimes when I'm in a hurry I have a fruit smoothie with a half packet of vanilla protein in it. My weight has been steady, a little higher than I am accustomed to but I don't think I look heavier, so I am pretty sure I've added some muscle.

That was really more than you asked, wasn't it? Sorry. :-)

Although the food visual looks absolutely fab....and yes I would eat that an hour before a workout. Post workout....definitely a protein shake with fruit blended with ice....YUMMMM!!!!

My PWO meal changes from time to time, but I typically do 2 scoops whey, or 1 scoop whey and a whole wheat tortilla rolled up with some PB on it!!! My all time fav snack is those whole wheat tortialls toasted in my toaster oven, add 1tbsp pb and some sugar free smuckers and roll it up and eat!! It's only 200 cals! YUMMO!

not 100% sure of your goals right now but I would think a whey shake is not really enough. Pair it with a banana or some type of carb. Since you are a pretty small person without a lot of bf, you can easily stand to eat some more carbs after your workout. It will help those muscles GROW!!!
